Tammie Schrader: AI in Education

An introduction to AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Ai Bias and Practical Applications in Education

October 24, 2024

4:00 – 5:00 pm

In Zoom

Join Tammie Schrader, Educational Consultant with Level Up Education Consulting, as she discusses AI and practical applications in the classroom.

In this one-hour webinar on AI, the discussion will begin with a brief introduction to Artificial Intelligence, defining it as the simulation of human intelligence in machines designed to perform tasks that usually require human cognition, such as decision-making, problem-solving, learning, and pattern recognition.

A significant portion of the webinar will focus on machine learning, which involves training algorithms to learn from data and make predictions or decisions without explicit programming for every task.

We will highlight practical applications of AI across education.

Ethical considerations are also covered, addressing topics like AI bias, data privacy, and the potential for job displacement due to automation. The discussion often encourages responsible AI development and emphasizes the need for regulations and ethical guidelines to ensure fair, transparent, and beneficial AI use.

The webinar will conclude with a Q&A session where participants ask questions about AI trends, future potential, and how they can integrate AI into their respective fields.

After you register, you will be sent a Zoom link to attend. To obtain clock hour information or questions, contact Don Pruett, WSTA Professional Development Coordinator at: puyalluppruett@gmail.com.
