Session Highlights:
In our new “Field Notes” series, participants will stay abreast of current scientific developments within and across their content area(s) through engaging non-fiction bestsellers.
Our goal is to read four books per year, one focused on each major content area (life, physical, and earth/space sciences) and one profile of a historical or contemporary scientist from diverse backgrounds. At the end of each quarter, we will meet to discuss what amazed or intrigued us, and how we can share what we have learned with our students. Participants will then select the next book and be entered in a drawing to win a free copy!
Our first book will be An Immense World: How Animal Senses Reveal the Hidden Realms Around Us by Ed Yong. The first five participants to register will receive a FREE Kindle or Paperback copy of the book!
