Join our WSTA president elect, Will Baur along with our WSTA Professional Development Coordinator, Don Pruett as they provide an update on all things OpenSciEd, K-12. The update includes new training on 6-8 and the completion of the elementary units. They also provide the participants with what WSTA has to offer for the 2026-27 school year as a WSTA OSE Professional Learning Partner.
Will Baur is a secondary science teacher, curriculum writer and professional learning facilitator. He field-tested the OpenSciEd Middle school units starting in 2018 and currentlyteaches HS science primarily using OpenSciEd curriculum. He is currently working with OpenSciEd to revise the HS biology curriculum to include AI literacy.
Don Pruett, WSTA Professional Development Coordinator and WSTA/OSE Professional Learning Partner Coordinator. He taught middle school OpenSciEd and is an OpenSciEd K-8 professional learning facilitator. He is responsible for coordinating the WSTA OSE Professional Learning Partnership in our state.
