WSTA Book Study: Grading for Equity

Collaborate with science teachers from across Washington State to make your grading more equitable and aligned with the NGSS. Learn to implement and improve equity-focused grading practices via a virtual book study hosted by WSTA. 

The first 25 people who register will receive a free copy of the book. All who register and complete the book study can submit payment to receive 15 clock hours at the end of the professional development. 

• November 4, 4:00- 5:00 pm: First Zoom - Introduce the book, establish process for in service
• Nov. 4 - Jan 13 - Participants self pace reading/discussing and implementing the book
• January 13, 4:00 - 5:00 pm: Second Zoom - Participants meet to discuss what they have learned and
• tried from the book
• Jan 13 - May 12 - Participants self pace reading/discussing and implementing the book
• May 12, 4- 5 pm - Final Zoom - Participants meet to discuss outcomes of their book study
